Cady + Jo + Matt (Santa Cruz, CA)

Matt & Jo called me a little before the session, telling me they want to take Cady to the beach instead. It took us a while to decide where to go, and finally I suggested Santa Cruz. It was quite windy, even though sunny, when we started at the Lighthouse, and Cady was not too comfortable with the wind blowing at her face. But when we got down to the beach, Cady saw the water and waves, and started to enjoy herself so much, jumping waves, running around by the water and building her birthday cake with daddy and mommy.

It is amazing to see how fast Cady is growing. It seems just yesterday when we celebrated her 2nd Birthday.

Melissa + Gary Wedding (Santa Cruz, CA)

I was quite excited when Melissa and Gary decided to sign me up as their wedding photographer, as they told me their wedding would be a beach wedding in Santa Cruz. However, it was pouring on the evening before the wedding. Although in the morning of their wedding day, the heavy rain has turned into scattered showers, it was still quite windy, and Melissa and Gary decided to go with their "Plan B." I felt a slight tint of disappointment, but that quickly melted away as the first click on the shutter happened, and I was fully back in my photojournalist spirit to capture the story of Melissa and Gary's big day.

It was wonderful to see all their friends and relatives working so hard together to set up and decorate their reception tent into a beautiful venue in no time.
