Weina + Frank : Married! (San Jose Heritage Rose Garden, CA)

Frank and Weina tied their knot at the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden. It was a great day to start my summer's wedding season. I first met with the groomsmen at Frank's house and captured lots of great getting ready moments of the 'guys' helping each other, attending to the minute detail in order to get their attire in a perfect shape. And they had so much fun! Afterwards, I went to Weina and her team of beautiful bridesmaids to get some moments of the bride's team dressing up, and waiting for the groomsmen to pick them up.

As Chinese traditions, Frank and his groomsmen had to be challenged (with some very creative tasks) by the team of bridesmaids, in order to get into the hotel room to receive his beautiful bride. With the groomsmen smarts and the bridesmaids being easy on them, Frank was able to go into the room rather efficiently to receive Weina, and we immediately continued to Frank's house for the tea ceremony and their wedding at the Rose Garden. Both ceremonies were beautiful with lots of joy and touching moments. We also stopped by Stanford University campus to get some bridal shots before the reception at the Ming's. The decorations at Ming's was fabulous. But I was most impressed by the couple's talent in singing. They were such lovely partners and their beautiful songs entertained the guests well.

Family Fun at University of Washington, WA

I went back to Seattle again last month to hold my first Photography Workshop in Mercer Island, and also took some pictures of some beautiful families in this awesome city. I met Khue's family the very first time in Seattle, and she wanted to show me the cherry blossom at the University of Washington. We went through the front gate and were so disappointed to find out all the flowers were gone. I tried to uplift their spirit and told them to walk through the campus, re-assuring them that many more nice scenes for pictures will be found on campus. And we did find plenty of beautiful spots along the way. And as a reward, we even found trees with cherry blossom at the far side of the campus and lots of fun enjoying the lovely spring air until the end of the session.

Romancing in San Francisco: A Pre-Wedding Session with Sally and Stanley (San Francisco, ca)

A few months ago, I got a special request from Taiwan to have a pre-wedding session in San Francisco. Sally and Stanley from Taipei have planned to come to the States for a visit and would like to capture their fun trip in this beautiful city. I was really looking forward to their session, as I love to capture the wonderful moments of travelers to our city for them to treasure.

On the day of the pre-wedding shoot, we met at a neighborhood Cafe around Lombard Street. It was impressive to see them both already dressed up and more ready than I was for the shoot. Sally looked really pretty in her beautiful gown and Stanley appeared so handsome in his nice suit. We walked up and down on Lombard Street and the couple got lots of blessings from passer-bys along the way. We later visited the Palace of Fine Arts and found lots of cool places to shoot with the amazing natural light. Our last stop was Crissy Field and Sally and Stanley spent some wonderful time there until sunset.

Thanks Sally and Stanley for inviting me to capture your beautiful bridal session in this cool metropolitan city. I am very much looking forward to seeing you again in Taipei!
