Minh + Hieu: Sweet love by the Sea (Capitola, CA)

I've always loved the ambience in Capitola, a little coastal town close to Santa Cruz that gives a relaxed, European feel, and Minh and Hieu picked this lovely place for their engagement session.

The lovely couple strolled around town and on the beach. The weather was perfect and the lovebirds attracted quite some cheers and claps along the way! We walked and shoot until the place was lighted up, and we ended the session with a very nice dinner at the beautiful Shadowbrook restaurant!

Hilary + Jason: Sweet romance around Berkeley and more... (Berkeley, CA)

Hilary and Jason's love story started on the Berkeley campus. So for their pre-wedding photo shoot, they wanted to return to these special places on campus to reminisce those memorable school days spent together. And before we went on campus, we stopped by the refreshing Berkeley Marina and pier to get some 'cool' shots near water. And we lucked out having a not-so-windy day!

It was a nice day on campus. Hilary and Jason brought me to all those places they had their sweet memories, and they even got to relive the graduation moment too! 

Our next stop was Baker Beach. By the time we were ready to shoot, the whole place just fogged up and the crimson red Golden Gate Bridge was fully covered in fog. But the best thing was, we had the entire beach to ourselves and we pulled some great shots! 

We finished our photo shoot in the city, when the twilight started blending in with the city lights - a time of day I love most! Thank you Hilary and Jason for such a fun shoot! And best of luck to the lovely couple for their upcoming wedding in Hong Kong!

Lindsey + Danny: Dazzling couple in the redwoods (Mill Valley, CA)

We had the most amazing late afternoon sunlight set up for Lindsey and Danny at the Muir Woods National Monument. Really loved the serenity and the smell of the redwoods and the sun light through the tall trees was just so beautiful and dreamy!

WPJA 2015 Q3 Contest Award

It was a happy and bright start of my day (despite the rain), finding one of my images being placed in the latest 2015 WPJA contest! Thank you Afel and Peter again for having me capture your beautiful wedding! And congrats to all the winners for their marvelous works! Wishing everyone a wonderful and prosperous 2016!

A Fun Pre-wedding session at the Beach - with Chloe, William and Mochi (San Francisco, CA)

There were no blue sky or bright sun on the day Chloe and William had their pre-wedding session, but rather it was the cloudy and chilly kind of San Francisco weather. At first Chloe was a bit worried the weather might spoil some fun, but it turned out to be a really enjoyable session at the beach with their lovely furry baby Mochi. Chloe and William dressed up nicely in their gown and suit, but that did not stop them from walking in the wind and sand, through the woods, and even rock climbing! Definitely my fearless couple! 

Thank you Chloe and William for an awesome session, and particularly a big thank you to our behind-the-scene hero, Chloe's aunt, who helped in every way from babysitting Mochi to help me with the light! 

Chloe and William will be traveling back to Asia for their wedding, and I wish them best of luck!
