Sharon + Chi Engagement (San Francisco, CA)

I still remember the first time I met Sharon and Chi, they told me they would like to have some pictures with blue sky and beautiful clouds for their e-session. The day turned out to be extremely nice and warm weather, with not a single white cloud in sight. But that did not spoil our spirit. In fact, we were all energized by the warmth of San Francisco.

Chi is an experience amateur photographer and he was very excited to show me some of his favorite spots in the city. We couldn't stop shooting at all the great locations including Dutch Windmill, Sutro Baths and Central District. I even experienced the MUNI Light Rail with them (yes, this is my first time!).

Sharon and Chi,
thanks so much for your hard work and trust. You guys are just super! Looking forward to capture more unforgettable moments on your wedding day.

Claudia + Steve Wedding (San Francisco City Hall, CA)

The weather on Claudia and Steve's wedding day was quite dramatic. It was raining heavily the previous days before their wedding day, and I was anxiously checking the weather the night before and in the morning, hoping to see some changes, but in vain. On our way to San Francisco it was still pouring. And then when we arrived in the city, viola! The sky cleared up with nice blue sky and sunshine and beautiful white clouds.

The time was a bit rush, as always in every wedding, but the ceremony at City Hall was just perfect. After the ceremony, I traveled through the city with the newly weds to hunt for perfect spots for wedding pictures, with the fantastic weather on this perfect day.

And, a big applause should be given to Frank, our designated driver. He's a great friend of Steve and Claudia, and has been helping along the way the entire day. We couldn't have a better photo session without him!

Check out the music video at the end of the blog with more highlights of the day.

Deep Water Bay and Stanley Market (Hong Kong)

Teresa and family took us to Deep Water Bay and Stanley Market on the third day of Chinese New Year. Deep Water Bay was rather quiet (as I remembered it) with only a few elders swimming in the cold icy water. Cute little Jocelyn had fun playing with bubbles and sand. Our two boys had fun running on the beach and throwing rocks into the sea.

Stanley Market has changed so much since I last visited, many many years ago. We had a very tasty and authentic "fish ball" noodles meal at a local street side restaurant (Dai Pai Dong). They even had Coca Cola in classic bottle!

Here's a selection of pictures just for Teresa and her family =).
